After the broadcast, I do think that it is safe to eat large amounts of fish depending on what type of fish you consume. If you consume smaller fish with a shorter life span than you have a less of a chance to get a large amount of mercury. If you eat other fish such as tuna, swordfish, or shark there is more of a chance to get a large amount of mercury.

From eating large ammount of fish that is high in mercury can lead to negative developement like birth defects and brain functions. Consuming a small amount of fish is actualy good for you espicall children because of the fatty acids.

Whether or not eating large amounts of fish containing mercury will effect brain development, is a huge controversial argument. So many doctors say that it's ok but there are defects in the childrens brilliance. Some doctors say that there's a defect but you also have to look at other things that could give a negative brain development. I guess it depends upon a lot of things, because women in Iraq eat fish atleast 12 times a week and there children are still acceptably ok.

Eating alot of fish that is high in mercury can lead to brain malfunctions. Eating small amounts is considered healthy, and improves brain function. It does show that to much fish or mercury can be harmful.

The neureau biological problems in phetises and young children takes less mercury than the government thought. But, there is no real proof of the adverse effects of taking in to much mercury. They also say large amounts of fish is good for you, but not mercury, so as long as people eat fish with low mercury levels it is not bad for cognitive developement. Therefore you can't conclude that large amounts of fish can have negative cognitive developement.

I disagree with the fact that it makes kids less active because i think that the guy in the podcast said that there were kids with high mercury levels that became more active.
