Mercury in Fish Review- Question #5
Overall, after listening about the toxicity of mercury, do you feel that this information has affected the way you would shop for or consume fish? What kind of precautions will you take to make sure that you and your family members are safe from toxic poisoning of mercury?

No, I only eat a couple fish a year anyways.
No it will not effect the way i shop, because i dont grocery shop and my mom doesn't buy enough fish in a year to make me sick anyways.
No I think I will continue to eat fish because the chances of eaing a poisonus fish are slim when you only eat it every so often. also the podcast said that it takes alot of mercury to affect the brain.
No i do not think that it has affected the way i shop or consume fish. I eat fish once in a great while but that is only the fish that i catch and feel like keeping. My mom does not buy a lot of fish either. If my mom happened to buy fish i would probably make sure that it wasnt canned tuna, swordfish, or shark. I will inform them of the dangers and maybe if they consider buying it then they will ask the manager of seafood to tell them about the mercury levels.
No, i only eat fish a couple times a year. The study was on people who ate fish upto 12 times a week. I will not take any precautions because the fish i do eat are ones i catch.
No it does not effect the way i will shop. I dont really like fish and my family doesnt buy it. When i do eat fish i dont eat enough to get mercury poison anyway.
I agree with miranda. She is smart and everything she said is true. Catching your own fish is better because then if you get sick the fishermen are not getting rich.
We do not eat a lot of fish in our household so it won't really effect the way we shop for food. Once in a while we will eat a little bit of haddock and some trout but there is no real reason we need to take any precautions.
